Apo ni Lola started in 1993 with a former name, JA Special Durian Candy, producing only durian kisses and pastillas de leche con durian. It grew largely because of its exquisite and delicious taste and decided to register its business in year 2000. During the registration JA has an identical business that already existed in the market and so the trade name was changed to Apo ni Lola. Mr Arnel Raakin is indeed the grandson of the late Mrs. Abondia Del Puerto Raakin, known as Lola Abon.
